Professional Experience

-I write for SEO using Yoast on Wordpress and complete a total of three articles a week, which are published on the website. Articles include evergreen topics such as travel, fashion, products, food and Texas locations as well as wedding stories about real couples. I also manage all social media platforms (Instagram (27.6k followers), Tiktok, Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest(11.8k followers & over 4M impressions) and have continued to see substantial increases in analytics based on customized posting strategies.

My responsibilities as an intern included creating and editing my own packages by deadline, writing articles to be published on the website and helping reporters with stories. I also created my own stand-ups during my time at KXAN. The internship was expected to go until May 2020, but due to COVID-19 I was unable to go into the newsroom regarding their guidelines.

I managed all social media accounts and planned and designed content weekly for the Instagram. I edited pictures to create a flowing theme and also created graphics to promote events. I also designed and wrote a monthly Newsletter to be sent out to alumni and parents.

VYPE SPORTS MAGAZINE-INTERNSHIP

My internship with VYPE consisted of attending high school sports photo shoots and hosting interviews with star athletes. The interviews were filmed and broadcasted on the website and Youtube. I interviewed roughly 100 athletes and wrote feature stories by deadline. I also attended and covered important games.

Summer 2019

I worked for the sports department and covered weekly games mostly following football and volleyball. I wrote articles and interviewed athletes for each story that was to be completed and submitted by midnight after each game.

This month long internship was focused on organizing meetings with directors and producers around the world for the Santa Monica American Film Market. I was able to connect with people within the entertainment industry from all over the world. Some companies I connected with include Netflix, Universal, Pixar and more.

TEXAS STATE STUDY ABROAD OFFICE-INTERNSHIP

I ran the study abroad Instagram and scheduled posts through Hootsuite. I also created graphics to be posted periodically on the story and reached out to former study abroad students to collect pictures from their experiences.
